2010 - 2012
Location disslves over the Internet when distant friends appear on my screen. I recreate their images on canvas, placing a clear dot of glossy paint for each white pixel. These works are light dependent; they are only visible when light shines on the glossy paint. Walk by and the painting appears blank; a few steps forward and reflected light rolls across the surface, then white again; a step back and a face appears.
